Romanian cuisine is a fusion of Turkish and Saxon cuisine. The most delicious and famous dishes are: Sarmale - Cabbage Rolls, minced meat (usually pork), mixed with rice and spices, rolled into sour cabbage leaves; Mici – Grilled Minced Meat Rolls, a mixture of minced pork and cow meat, mixed with spices and garlic, they are then grilled and eaten hot with mustard; Ciorba de Burta – Beef Tripe Soup, Serve it with sour cream, vinegar and a traditional garlic paste; Papanasi, a delicious dessert made of cottage cheese, that is rolled into donut like shapes, filled with sweet cream and topped with jam.
